I GOT MY PREOP APPT !!

I am so excited and nervous all in one, it is crazy ! I got my preop appt for Monday at 11. I am so fully of who knows what I can not think or eat !! Wow ! it came by fast !! All Week I need to be very very good :)

Change is Coming !!

Yesterday I went to the Grocery store to do my grocery shopping for the next few weeks. In that list I did not include things I could not have, and I included things I could have like Splenda, decafinated tea, sugar free jam, and of course Fruit. I am excited about what is to come. These are little steps that I am trying to take. Things I have already given up pretty much are Soda, even though I thought I could not live with out it, I have given it up. I have replaced it with Crystal light. I am doing my best to not have any sweets, and trust me that is the hardest for me. All in due time I guess. One step at a time . Mike is going allow for the ride, if my eating habits are changing then so are his. He said after surgery he will eat what I eat, in bigger portions of course. I am thankful he is supportive cause I need that.

"HIS HANDS, Not MINE"

Where do I start?? It is amazing what God in the lives of His people. Sometimes as humans, we plan one thing but God plans another.
We are blessed to be able to be part of a group called Onelite. Onelite started as a bible study group of friends. We were all from different churches but all have Outreach ministry in our Hearts. Mike and I had drifted away in different direction for a while because we felt lead in a different direction, however, God's plans were different and we are now back. Anyways,
Saturday we had a huge Outreach at Sam Alba Park in Ontario. This is a park that is in a drug infested area and very poor . We gave away different things to the people. We gave away, 600+ Easter baskets, 300 brand new pairs of Shoes, 200 food boxes, 150 plants, 1500 burritos ( which we wrapped individually). What can I say , It was AWESOME!!
I headed a booth called Samaritan Feet, this booth we washed each child and adult feet before we put on brand new shoes. Talk about HUMBLING !! OMGosh !! Just to see the faces of these children getting new shoes, was enough for me. I am sooo thankful I took part of that ministry.

It is only by God's plan that everything pulled together, we had more than enough money donated, more than enough baskets, and food. Here we are to bless these people, and here I walked away humbled and blessed by what God was doing right in front of me. All the children were so happy and excited, parents spirits lifted. The Holy spirit filled the whole park. We had a great alter call response and many lives were saved. I am just so thankful that God used my hands for his work and I let HIM, cause sometimes it hard to remember , they are "His Hands, Not Mine".

Pictures to come !!

Getting Closer !!

Well it has been a while since I came on here to write. I have so much going on that I just don't have time to write. I am going to do my best to stick to it. Run down... 4 weeks until I graduate from my Options Class for Bariatric Surgery. It has gone by soooo fast !! Am I nervous?? YES !! But I know God is with me and protecting me through this journey. If He Chooses to take me, Well then I guess my work was done here :) But, I know there is more to my life and I know I have more to do for HIM before I leave this earth. Timeline is as follows:

4 weeks till graduation
2-4 weeks after graduation ( meet with surgeon)
4-6 weeks after graduation ( Surgery !!! )
